Their 40mm drivers yield a wide frequency response of 5 Hz to 23 kHz. And thanks to their stiff frameless voice coils, these M-shaped aluminum/magnesium dome drivers reproduce the details of your music when used with your home or portable audiophile listening system. Their construction obviates any built-in resonances, ensuring sonic purity in the listening experience. With their 20mm thick ear cushions, these headphones are as comfortable as they are aurally engrossing. A leather and perforated microfiber headband foster comfort in prolonged listening sessions without introducing sonic interference or degradation. These headphones come with a 3.9′ cable that terminates in a 3.5mm TRS connection. The cable locks into your headphones through 3.5mm jack sockets at the bottom of each earcup. A 1/4″ adapter is also included, as is a rigid carrying case.
This bundle includes a DragonFly Red from AudioQuest is a flash drive-sized Digital Audio Converter (DAC), preamplifier, and headphone amplifier that connects to a USB port. It features a 32-bit ESS Sabre conversion chip that bypasses the device’s sound card to deliver higher quality sound. Compared to earlier models, the Red version has the most improved circuitry between the DAC chip and analog output, as well as a fortified power supply. Its 1/8″ (3.5mm) stereo output can connect a set of headphones or allow patching into a larger audio system. Also with a Headphone Holder with Padded Cradle and Adjustable Angle attaches to either a horizontal or vertical surface in order to support one full-sized pair of headphones.
