CAD Equitek E40 Medium-Diaphragm Supercardioid Condenser Microphone
Continuing the Equitek tradition of excellent performance with outstanding value, the E40 from CAD is a medium-diaphragm condenser microphone ideal for acoustic instruments, percussion, and vocal recording applications such as singing, voice-over work, and podcasting. The supercardioid pickup pattern greatly reduces unwanted ambient sounds from the rear and sides, and the low-profile shockmount makes positioning the mic in any space hassle free.
The nickel-plated, 0.62″ capsule is built to last and sports great sensitivity for smooth, nuanced audio reproduction, low distortion, and a high max SPL of 125 dB when the -10 dB pad is engaged. An onboard 100 Hz high-pass filter helps to reduce muddy frequencies and rumbling from handling the mic, and the E40 runs on common 48V phantom power, which is provided by most mixers and audio interfaces.
