Neumann U 47 fet Collector’s Edition Condenser Microphone with Reflection Filter & Microphone Stand Bundle
Built according to the original production documents and schematics of the classic design, the U 47 fet Collector’s Edition Condenser Microphone Bundle from Neumann is a re-release of this often-copied microphone. A transistorized version of their tube U 47, the U 47 fet features their classic K 47 capsule and boasts a high SPL handling, and has historically found itself at home outside of a kick drum and in front of loud guitar and bass amps, contributing greatly to recordings from the 1960s and 70s. Like the original, there is a slight boost in frequency response around 2 kHz. The mic features the same low-cut filter as the original at 140 Hz, as well as the selectable -10 dB pad. For additional attenuation, there is a -6 dB output switch, allowing you to hit your mic preamps at a lower level.
This bundle includes a Reflection Filter with Microphone Stand kit consists of a microphone reflection filter, a microphone stand sturdy enough to support both the reflection filter and a microphone, and an accessory holder. The reflection filter absorbs unwanted room noise and helps control room reflections, allowing you to record tracks in less-than-ideal rooms. It attaches to the included mic stand, which is sturdy enough to support both the filter and your microphone. The accessory holder clamps onto the stand to hold cables, headphones, or a small instrument.
